of Hispanic Studies: Policy on CLEP and AP EXAMS |
Spanish Language |
Students can
meet the requirement in World Language proficiency at the elementary level by: |
n
passing the AP examination in a World language with a
score of 3 or higher |
n
receiving a score of 50 or higher on the CLEP examination
in a world language |
n
CLEP
examinations will not offer university credit in any of the
world languages currently taught at UMN. Students taking and passing the CLEP
can use their scores to meet the World Languages Requirement |
n
AP
Examinations in Spanish. Students who pass the AP examination in Spanish
with a score of 3 or higher will receive 3 credits of course work in advanced
Spanish . The Registrars Office will treat these credits as a transfer
course. |
